Summary

MasterClass is seeking a multidisciplinary Brand Designer to elevate the brand through innovative design and strategic campaigns, shaping how millions experience world-class knowledge and instruction. This high-impact individual contributor role focuses on creating impactful experiences across MasterClass's expanding branded ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities: Lead launches of new offerings by translating strategic briefs into bold campaigns, design and deliver marketing assets across the entire funnel (OOH, social, paid ads, product touchpoints), and build scalable design systems and frameworks that drive consistency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize campaigns and evolve the visual identity across brand extensions.
Skills & Tools: Exceptional visual design and systems thinking with attention to both strategic concepts and pixel-level detail, strong communication and collaboration skills in remote-first environments, and proven ability to work iteratively and turn feedback into stronger work. Multidisciplinary portfolio experience spanning digital, social, and campaign design.
Qualifications: 6–8 years of experience in brand design or art direction with a diverse portfolio demonstrating multidisciplinary work. Proven track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept to execution with self-direction in ambiguous situations.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a multidisciplinary Brand Designer to elevate MasterClass through conceptual thinking, bold creative direction, and detail-oriented design execution. This role is about more than beautiful visuals—it’s about setting systems, driving consistency, and building campaigns that blend brand integrity with performance goals.

This is a high-impact IC role where curiosity, innovation, and collaboration matter as much as craft. You’ll directly shape our expanding branded house—including MasterClass, MasterClass On Call, and MasterClass Certificates. Your work will define how millions of people experience the world’s best knowledge, stories, and skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the launch of new MasterClass offerings by turning strategic briefs into bold, conceptual campaigns.
  • Design and deliver assets across the entire marketing funnel—from OOH and organic social to paid ads and product touchpoints.
  • Build scalable design systems, templates, and frameworks that drive consistency and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize campaigns and ensure creative impact.
  • Evolve our visual identity across brand extensions and new products.

About You 

  • Experience: 6–8 years in brand design or art direction, with a multidisciplinary portfolio spanning digital, social, and campaign work.
  • Track Record: Proven success leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept to execution.
  • Craft: Exceptional visual design and systems thinking, with an eye for both big-picture ideas and pixel-level detail.
  • Ways of Working: Fast, iterative, and comfortable turning feedback into stronger work.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communicator and partner in cross-functional, remote-first environments.
