Summary
The Senior Policy Advisor manages Western Governors University's public policy stewardship, analysis, and coordination to ensure strategic positioning in higher education. This role develops policy products and translates institutional priorities into coherent policy narratives for internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Tools: Strong understanding of higher education policy, ability to distill complex policy issues into concise updates, and capacity to operate in ambiguous situations while influencing stakeholders. Proficiency with AI-enabled analytic tools for policy scanning and regulatory analysis is preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public policy or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience in public policy. Preferred experience in talent or workforce development.
Location: Hybrid in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States of America with up to 20% travel required
Compensation: $119,400 – $185,100 / annually
