Summary

Sales Account Executive at KnowBe4 selling Security Awareness Training Platform to small and mid-sized businesses in the Washington DC area using a consultative approach. The role offers uncapped commissions and the opportunity to make a positive impact on clients' security posture.

Key Responsibilities: Identify and close new customer opportunities, build and maintain prospect pipelines through cold calling and networking, articulate KnowBe4's value proposition, achieve monthly sales quotas, and maintain accurate customer records in Salesforce. Also responsible for following up on marketing leads, negotiating pricing within policy guidelines, and promoting products at trade shows.
Skills & Tools: Proven sales skills with experience selling software to SMEs, proficiency in Salesforce and Gmail, familiarity with IT security concepts, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Must be a self-motivated, stats-driven professional with strong collaborative and teamwork skills.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-3 years of software sales experience to SMEs. Network or Security Plus certification is preferred.
Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia, United States (Washington DC area)
Compensation: $60,000 – $100,000/year

We are looking for Sales Account Executives who apply a "consultative" selling approach to their clients. This is a great opportunity for Sales Executives who want to make a positive difference in people's lives by selling KnowBe4’s Security Awareness Training Platform. As an Account Executive you will manage opportunities that will consist of small and mid-sized businesses (under 500 employees). We offer uncapped commissions, monthly bonuses, and a casual, positive work environment that offers room for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell KnowBe4’s range of products and services
  • Identify and close net new customers in the assigned territory
  • Build and maintain pipeline of potential customers by developing and managing relationships with prospects
  • Forecast new business prospects that result in successful client relationships and sales
  • Identify key decision makers while developing and qualifying new business opportunities within the targeted markets through cold calling, networking and high-level prospecting
  • Articulate the value proposition of KnowBe4’s products and help the customer understand how it will improve their business’s security awareness training (and security overall)
  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas and/or targets 
  • Be well versed in KnowBe4’s product offerings and promote the products and services at trade shows as requested
  • Follow up on marketing leads to generate new sales opportunities and pipeline
  • Act strategically in offering or negotiating discounted pricing, in line with established policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records for customer calls, emails, notes, tasks, demos and other relevant information in compliance with the Administration Policy 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus 
  • Proven track record in sales 
  • 1-3 years selling software to Small Medium Enterprise a plus
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the IT Security Field
  • Experience with Salesforce and Gmail
  • Network or Security Plus preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Stats driven business professional
  • Motivated, energetic self-starter
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
