Summary

Part-time faculty position teaching phlebotomy in fast-track, cross-credit healthcare classes at a community college. Responsible for delivering instruction to prepare students for industry employment and recognized credentials.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare assignments and customize or develop curriculum using effective adult learning techniques for diverse learning styles. Keep current in phlebotomy expertise and perform other job-related duties as needed.
Skills & Tools: Expert-level phlebotomy knowledge with required certifications and licenses. Adult education experience and ability to teach diverse learners in classroom/training settings.
Qualifications: Expertise as a Phlebotomy Technician with required certifications and licenses. Experience helping adults learn in a classroom or training environment.
Location: Main Campus - Baytown, Texas, United States
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $22/hour – $28/hour based on title, seniority, and location.

Position Overview


This position is responsible for providing instruction for fast-track cross-credit healthcare classes that are designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain industry employment and related industry recognized credentials.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Will prepare assignments: This may include studying/customizing existing instructor/facilitator guides, as well as possibly developing the curriculum, uses effective adult learning techniques to accomplish stated learning objectives for a variety of learning styles, keeps current in area(s) of expertise related to continuing education assignments, will perform other job-related duties as required or needed.


Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Expertise as a Phlebotomy Technician, including but not limited to any required certifications, licenses, and/or designated work experiences.
  • Experience helping adults learn in a classroom/training room setting.
