Summary

Installation Technician I assists Lead Installers in setting up A/V systems integration equipment at client sites according to specifications and design standards. The role ensures compliance with Bluum's Field Operations Manual and National Electrical Code requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Install equipment, wall mounts, brackets, whiteboards, projector screens, monitors, and projectors at customer sites; test and troubleshoot installed systems; communicate work status to Project Lead; maintain safe work environments and inventory control.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency with hand and power tools, ladder and lift operation, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, organization, and basic mathematical skills required.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; ability to work at heights over 25 feet, lift up to 80 pounds occasionally, and travel daily to various client sites.
Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; on-site with daily regional travel required and occasional overnight stays.
Compensation: $25 – $29/hour

Job Description

Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Lead Installer in the installation of A/V systems integration equipment in accordance with the proposed spec and system design at the Client’s site. This installation work shall comply with Bluum’s Field Operations Manual standards and the current National Electrical Code.

Essential Functions and Job Duties

  • Install equipment on customer site(s) in accordance with the proposal specifications and design.
  • Installing wall mounts and brackets
  • Installing white boards and projector screens
  • Installing monitors and projectors
  • Testing of all installed systems (using supplied test equipment)
  • Performing basic troubleshooting (using supplied test equipment)
  • Verbal communication of work status to the Project Lead Installer
  • Cleaning and organizing the work van / work site to maintain safe work environment
  • Assist with Crew’s inventory control

Travel Requirements

Installation Techs are on-site resources, day-to-day travel is required. A company vehicle or vehicle allowance will be provided for regional work. There are going to times where overnights will be required (both in state and out of state).

Work Environment

On-site. Installers will spend most days on client site. These sites can vary from office spaces, classrooms, auditoriums, churches, correctional facilities. In addition to on-site work, Installers will also spend time In-house working on rack builds and staging jobs.

Physical Demands

Must be able to operate various hand tools and power tools. Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs and operate lifts (single person, scissor lifts). Must be able to work at heights equal too if not greater than 25’. Must be able to work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud noises. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to if not greater than 80 pounds occasionally.  

Pay Range:$25-29/hour
