🏢 Location & Work Mode:

  • Greece
  • This is a full-time, 3-month fixed-term role, with a strong chance of renewing for 3 more months and after this period, transitioning to a permanent position based on the successful outcome of the internship.
  • The internship will run from September to December (with opportunity to renew up to February). The interview process will start in June.
  • When hiring in Greece, we’re open to candidates from all locations. Those based within 55 km of our Athens office will follow a hybrid work model (2/week work from the office). For candidates located beyond that radius, a fully remote arrangement is available.
  • Eligibility: This internship is best suited for students in their final year of studies or recent graduates with up to 2 years of professional experience, as they are likely to benefit the most from this opportunity.

✨The core mission of the Software Engineer Intern

As a Software Engineering Intern at Hack The Box, your mission is to help shape and expand one of our HTB platforms. Over the 3 months of your internship with us, you’ll contribute to meaningful product development that reaches thousands of users, while developing core engineering skills and mindset. You will gain real experience building production-level features while learning directly from experienced engineers.

🎯 By the end of your internship, you’ll have shipped code that matters, real features on a high-visibility product used by tens of thousands of hackers. You’ll gain hands-on experience with Laravel PHP (Backend).

If everything aligns, this internship has the potential to turn into a full-time position on Hack The Box’s software engineering team. For this reason, it's an ideal opportunity for students in their final year of studies.

🍺 The fellowship you’ll be joining:

You’ll join one of our teams, consisting of Software Engineers (Front end , Back end), QA Engineers, Product Designers and a Product Manager.

🗺️ The Quest of Becoming Hack The Box’s Software Engineering Intern:

  • Level 1: To complete level one’s objective, submit your application
  • Level 2: Complete an online standardized competency assessment
  • Level 3: Meet the Talent Acquisition team. Level’s objective: highlight your achievements, ambitions, and values. Important Note: Level Three will be unlocked based on a holistic review of the available information, including the candidate’s CV, GitHub account, Hack The Box account, and performance in the online competency assessment.
  • Level 4: Meet the hiring team. Level’s objective: connect with the hiring team and share with them your achievements.
  • Level 5: Complete an assignment that aligns with day-to-day job-related tasks and responsibilities. Part of the assignment is discussing it with the hiring team in a debriefing session, in order to walk the team through your thinking process.
  • Level 6: You've officially received an offer from HTB! To complete the last level and the Quest, all you need to do is accept the offer.
