Summary

Join Pluralsight as a Solution Architect to leverage technical expertise in helping enterprise clients transform their tech workforce skills through the Skill platform. Act as a trusted technical and business advisor managing the entire evaluation and implementation process.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver targeted product demonstrations to enterprise executives, manage presales components including value discovery and ROI presentations, and own pilot implementations and customer security responses. Serve as the go-to SME for assigned sales teams, conduct technical sales meetings, and assist in RFP/RFI responses and marketing material development.
Skills & Tools: Strong SaaS sales engineering experience with ability to simplify complex technical subjects, knowledge of software development processes and agile methodologies, familiarity with source control and ticket management solutions (Git, JIRA), and excellent interpersonal and consulting skills.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in sales engineering or presales consulting with a BSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred. Understanding of financial justification methodologies and both SaaS and On Premise selling structures required.
Location: Remote from USA with some on-site work expected near Westlake/Dallas, TX

Job Description:

As a Pluralsight Solution Consultant, you are the subject matter expert that will be responsible for helping clients transform their tech workforce skills by presenting Pluralsight’s Skill platform to prospective customers, creating and delivering demonstrations of the products, gathering customer technical requirements, creating evaluation plans with customers, managing the evaluation process to a successful conclusion and ensuring the handover to the customer success team.

To accomplish this, the Solution Consultant must have a technical foundation, solid consulting & sales acumen, a change management understanding, and a desire to set the vision that will quantify business objectives into an enticing and actionable return on investment. The Solution Consultant will act as a trusted technical and business advisor to our clients and internal partners while aiding the prospect’s journey.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and deliver targeted & specific value-based product demonstrations to enterprise executives & decision makers, as necessary.
  • Assist in conducting customer business and solution discovery
  • Own presales components of the value engineering lifecycle including: value discovery, financial justification, & return on investment presentations
  • Be the “go-to” expert in Pluralsight’s products) and act as a SME and business partner for the assigned sales team for all related questions
  • Conduct customer facing technical sales meetings as needed by the team
  • Develop and be able to work in a structured workflow for technical sales requests
  • Assist in identifying and executing development of marketing materials and other technical resources needed to enable the assigned Pluralsight sales team
  • Own & drive pilot implementations and customer security responses to completion
  • Be an expert in Pluralsight’s Professional Services offerings and know when to position and upsell service opportunities
  • Assist assigned sales teams in drafting and managing technical requirements required when responding to RFP/RFI proposals along with security risk assessments

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Understanding of both SaaS and On Premise selling structures, measurements, and critical success factors
  • Self-starter who is able to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, produce with autonomy, and provide insight to key enterprise deals
  • Knowledge of software development processes and/or agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with source control and ticket management solutions (eg Git and JIRA)

Requirements:

  • Strong operational proficiency balanced by highly-effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively influence senior-level customer decision makers
  • Excellent business sense with ability to simplify complex technical subjects to ensure mutual understanding
  • 3+ years of sales engineering experience, ideally with a Software as a Service
  • BSc. Computer Science, Software Engineering, equivalent work experience preferred
  • Familiarity with value engineering, return on investment, or other financial justification methodologies preferred
  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. Pay Transparency:

The US base salary range for this role is $129,600 - $169,200 USD. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits and bonuses may apply.
