Amplify is seeking a Spanish Language Arts (SLA) Content and Instructional Specialist to develop engaging curricular materials for sixth grade students in a collaborative environment. This contract position lasts approximately 9 weeks with the possibility of an extension.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include reviewing and revising Spanish instruction to meet diverse learner needs, sourcing engaging texts, collaborating with content teams, and crafting standards-based lessons.
Skills: Candidates must possess a BA in Education or related fields, strong command of Spanish linguistics, and experience in elementary education with proficiency in crafting engaging curriculum.
Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include a graduate degree, experience with diverse Spanish learners, expertise in integrating various media and genres in curriculum, and strong collaborative skills.
Location: This position is fully remote within the United States.
Compensation: $55 - $55 / Hourly

Job Description:
Amplify is seeking a Spanish Language Arts (SLA) Content and Instructional Specialist to helpdevelop core curricular materials for sixth grade students. Our small, highly collaborative teamdevelops lessons that bring rich, standards-aligned domains of knowledge into SLA anddual-language classrooms, using those domains to engage students, build literacy skills, anddevelop those skills into close, careful reading, writing, speaking, and listening for diverse audiencesand purposes, and pursuing a deep curiosity about the world. To do this, we need people who ‘get’both text and sixth grade students, who are ready to think creatively about critical literacy skills, whopossess a deep understanding of standards-aligned instruction, and who have an impeccable eye fordetail.
The expected duration for this Contract role is approximately 9 weeks, with possible extension.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Review instruction in Spanish that authentically aligns to standards and progresses insubstantial, organic ways
- Revise instruction to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
- Source rich and engaging texts in Spanish for content development
- Revise lessons in Spanish that support students at all levels, helping them become strongreaders who can dig into a text, deliberately investigate key elements, collaborate to refinetheir understanding, and express that understanding through presentations, performances,writing, or other means
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and other content producers to bring lessons to life
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA in Education, Spanish, or Bilingual Education, with strong content background in Spanishliterary genres and critical analysis
- 3+ years Spanish and/or Bilingual elementary education experience, with particular strengthdeveloping and implementing a wide range of engagement and grouping strategies in theclassroom
- Strong content background in Spanish linguistics, including grammar, phonology, semantics,morphology, and syntax
- Native or advanced proficiency in Spanish, with strong written and verbal communicationskills.
- Experience crafting challenging and engaging standards-based lessons/curricula
- Experience crafting standards correlations and other technical documents
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and balance work on multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree
- Experience crafting curricula in Spanish that integrates different genres, technologies, andmedia
- Experience instructing a diverse range of Spanish learners
- Widely read, with strong reading and thinking skills
- Experience working collaboratively
- Acute attention to detail
- Comfort with classroom technology
Compensation:
The hourly rate range for this role is $55.
