Summary

A Solution Consultant at Pluralsight who serves as a strategic partner guiding organizations in leveraging the Pluralsight platform to transform their tech talent. This remote role focuses on delivering compelling product demonstrations, conducting customer discovery, and driving successful trial experiences that prepare customers for the Customer Success handoff.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver targeted product demonstrations to enterprise executives, conduct customer business and solution discovery, own presales components including value discovery and ROI presentations, and drive pilot implementations while serving as a subject matter expert for assigned sales teams.
Skills & Tools: Strong understanding of SaaS sales structures and measurements, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence senior decision-makers, expertise in distilling complex technical topics for clarity, creativity, curiosity, resilience, and adaptability.
Qualifications: 3+ years of sales engineering experience, preferably within Software as a Service; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

As a Pluralsight Solution Consultant, you’re the trusted guide and strategic partner helping organizations supercharge their tech talent. You’ll lead the way in showing how Pluralsight’s platform can transform workforces. You’ll craft compelling product demonstrations, uncover and understand each customer’s unique technical needs, design tailored evaluation plans, and navigate prospects through a smooth, successful trial experience. By the time you hand them off to the Customer Success team, they’ll be primed and excited to accelerate their skills transformation—thanks to you.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and deliver targeted & specific value-based product demonstrations to enterprise executives & decision makers, as necessary.
  • Assist in conducting customer business and solution discovery
  • Own presales components of the value engineering lifecycle including: value discovery, financial justification, & ROI presentations
  • Be the “go-to” expert in Pluralsight’s products (Skills) and act as a SME and business partner for the assigned sales team for all related questions
  • Conduct customer facing technical sales meetings as needed by the team
  • Develop and be able to work in a structured workflow for technical sales requests
  • Assist in identifying and delivering development of marketing materials and other technical resources needed to enable the assigned Pluralsight sales team
  • Own & drive pilot implementations and customer security responses to completion
  • Be an expert in Pluralsight’s Professional Services offerings and known when to position and upsell service opportunities
  • Assist assigned Enterprise sales teams in drafting and managing technical requirements required when responding to RFP/RFI proposals

Experience You'll Bring:

An understanding of both SaaS selling structures, measurements, and critical success factors. With familiarity with value engineering, ROI, or other financial justification methodologies preferred

Requirements:

  • Strong operational understanding balanced by highly-effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively influence senior-level customer decision makers
  • Excellent business understanding with ability to simplify complex technical subjects to ensure mutual understanding
  • 3+ years of sales engineering experience, ideally with a Software as a Service
  • BSc. Computer Science, Software Engineering, equivalent work experience preferred

This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Draper, UT, or Westlake/Dallas, TX offices should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. This approach enables more effective collaboration, quicker decision-making, and a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.

Travel: Travel expectations differ by role. Some quota-bearing sales positions involve limited travel, while others may involve travel of up to 40%, depending on business needs.

Pay Transparency:

The US base salary range for this role is $129,800 - $164,600 USD. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits and bonuses may apply.
