Astra provides frontier models with curated datasets and annotation services. We’re already partnering with leading labs and generating eight-figure revenues. We’re looking for a founding Account Executive to partner closely with our leadership team and captain large, transformational data deals. This is not a traditional sales seat. It's a chance to shape the trajectory of a business line from the ground up.
What you’ll do
- Lead all sales efforts, including new business sales and expanding existing customers.
- Pioneer the playbook for growth, staying ahead of trends in AI and the developer ecosystem.
- Partner with leadership to shape the go-to-market strategy for Astra, including pricing, positioning, and commercial models that build a scalable, recurring-revenue stream.
- Partner with product and engineering to launch new data offerings.
Who you are
- Entrepreneurial and high-agency - you thrive in zero-to-one environments, build what you need (decks, 1-pagers, processes), and turn ambiguity into clear action.
- Strong presenter who makes technical and business concepts clear to any audience.
- Fluent in AI model development, able to discuss concepts like SFT, RLHF, and data’s role in training.
- High intellectual horsepower - quick to grasp complex ideas, connect the dots, and adapt in fast-moving markets while building lasting relationships.
Even better if you have
- Experience in data, API, or platform sales, with exposure to AI labs, foundation model teams, or enterprise AI leaders.
- A strong AI network and genuine curiosity about what’s next in model training and data.
Compensation
- This sales role is eligible for incentive-based pay, with an annual total potential earnings range of $200,000 to $275,000, including base salary and incentive-based compensation (based on quota attainment).
- The salary range does not include other compensation components, commission (for sales-related roles), bonuses, or benefits for which you may be eligible. Salary may be adjusted based on business needs.
