Job Description

About our family of companies:

We’re on a mission to bring learning to life! Across our family of companies—Learning Resources®, Educational Insights, and hand2mind—we create children’s toys, pet toys, educational products, and supplemental curriculum trusted by teachers and loved by families. As a growing, family-owned business and a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace, we are dedicated to helping kids succeed in school and develop a lifelong love of learning. If you’re curious, collaborative, and a kid at heart, you’ll feel right at home here. Join us in shaping the future of learning with our award-winning team!

What you’ll do day to day:

  • Support the design, development, and iteration of AI-powered agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio to automate tasks and improve employee workflows.
  • Translate approved ideas and business use cases into functional agent experiences, including prompts, conversation flows, and user guidance.
  • Connect agents to approved enterprise data sources and automations using supported connectors and Power Automate flows.
  • Assist with deployment activities (versioning, validation, and basic troubleshooting) and confirm expected behaviors before pilot and broader release.
  • Document agent functionality, limitations, and usage instructions to support adoption and long-term maintainability.
  • Collect feedback from pilot users and iterate on agent logic based on real-world usage, performance, and governance standards.
  • Ability to deliver at least two working agent pilots by the end of the internship, with clear documentation and a demo of the business value.

Requirements/Ideal Attributes:

  • Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a degree program in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn enterprise AI platforms and governance practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (especially Teams and SharePoint). Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps) and/or Copilot Studio is a plus.
  • Comfortable learning by doing: testing, troubleshooting basic issues, and iterating based on feedback.
  • Clear written communication skills, especially for documenting how something works and how to use it.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to follow standards, handle sensitive information appropriately, and work across business and technical teams.

What we’re looking for:

  • A curious builder who enjoys turning ideas into working prototypes and iterating quickly based on feedback.
  • Someone who can balance experimentation with governance, learning to follow standards for security, privacy, and responsible AI.
  • A strong communicator who can document solutions clearly and help others adopt them.
  • A team player who takes ownership of tasks, escalates issues early, and helps deliver reliable, production-facing Copilot Studio agents.

We are a drug-free workplace and an EEO employer.

Please note: This role will be filled by our internal recruitment team, so no assistance is needed from any outside staffing agency at this time.

Compensation: $20.00 an hour
