Job Title: Assistant Athletic Director for Information Technology

Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing leadership and administrative direction to the Intercollegiate Athletic Program Information Technology department. Functional areas include computer system purchases, computer and system maintenance, technical support, and hardware/software security.
Responsible for IT governance within the Department of Athletics, Seminole Boosters, Inc., and Seminole Productions to include all technologies used for linear event broadcast and in-venue entertainment including venue LED boards and associated processing and conversion equipment. Provides administrative leadership for IT department and acts as the primary decision maker regarding the procurement and implementation of technology. Performs strategic planning and delegation of technology projects.
Responsible for management of projects including Athletics Technology projects and capital projects with a significant IT or AV scope. Manages staff in Athletics Technology who provide design and creative work for projects including space rendering and graphic design.
Responsible for Information Security and Privacy, development and management of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and ensuring the resilience of the IT environment in the case of a disaster or other adverse event. Additionally, this position is responsible for annual attestations of compliance, audits of the IT environment, and active monitoring of critical systems.
Responsible for management of engineering staff who support Seminole Productions. This team is responsible for all the technology that facilitates live event production and sports venue entertainment. Additionally, manages systems administrators for Athletics storage system, remote support system, asset management and mobile device management, to include patch management, backup and restoration, and management of disaster recovery procedures.
Serves on the Athletics Senior Staff, attending weekly meetings and interpreting departmental needs based on issues raised and discussed to best determine how technology should be leveraged towards the goals and directives of the Senior and Executive teams.
Responsible for contract/agreements for technology and/or technology services. Performs initial vetting of these vendors and works with FSU Procurement, General Counsel, and the Athletics Business Office to expedite the execution of agreements. Assists in managing renewals of existing agreements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 4 years' experience, or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
