Summary

Digital Asset Coordinator for Scholastic School Reading Events, responsible for organizing and maintaining marketing digital assets across multiple platforms including Book Fairs, Book Clubs, and Storyvoice. This role supports the creative team by ensuring proper asset management, metadata accuracy, and compliance with usage rights.

Key Responsibilities: Manage organization, tagging, and archiving of assets within the Enterprise Marketing DAM platform, perform metadata audits and data clean-up, coordinate with production design team on asset uploads and versioning, and assist internal and external users with asset requests.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in digital asset management, taxonomy and metadata standards, copyright and digital rights management, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Teams, Google Suite, and project management software. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently on multiple projects.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associate's degree required with minimum 1-3 years of experience in marketing, publishing, or operations environment. Experience with DAM or MAM platforms such as Bynder or OpenText preferred.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Scholastic School Reading Events (SRE) is seeking a detail-oriented Digital Asset Coordinator to join our Marketing Creative Operations team. This fully remote position will report to the Digital Asset Manager, and will play an important role in supporting the larger creative team by organizing, cataloging and maintaining marketing digital assets for Scholastic Book Fairs, Book Clubs, and Storyvoice. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the organization, tagging and archiving of assets, as well as monitoring asset uploads and downloads within the Scholastic Enterprise Marketing DAM platform.
  • Ensure accurate metadata, naming conventions and asset usage rights, including performing regular audits and data clean-up to correct inconsistencies.
  • Work closely with the production design team to coordinate asset uploads and proper versioning of assets.
  • Assist the Digital Asset Manager on platform improvement initiatives and strategic projects related to digital assets.
  • Assist internal and external users with asset requests and ensure appropriate permissions and restrictions are followed.
  • Escalate issues to the Enterprise DAM Governance team for collaborative resolution 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in digital asset management, library sciences, or creative operations
  • Familiarity with taxonomy and metadata standards, application and practical implementation
  • Knowledge of copyright, licensing, publishing and/or digital rights management
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Teams, Google Suite, and project management software
  • Experience with DAM or MAM platforms preferred, such as Bynder or OpenText

The pay rate for this position is $24.50 per hour.
