As National Sales Manager, you are responsible for selling ZERO TO THREE’s full suite of professional development products and services. You will develop effective sales strategies and identify, direct, and coordinate sales opportunities to propel revenue growth. You will build upon an existing foundation of established success in the marketplace and also increase market share by using a collaborative, consultative approach with client partners.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of ZERO TO THREE’s professional development (PD) products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers and assess the competitive landscape for early childhood development PD.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to team and organizational goals.
- Provide guidance and support to sales team members to achieve their identified sales targets.
- Strategically and creatively manages an opportunity pipeline.
- Craft effective sales strategies and utilize a consultative sales approach to promote and sell ZERO TO THREE professional development products and services, building strong relationship with both prospective and established clients.
- Track all sales flow information (from prospect/pipeline to close) and maintain all sales-related progress in Salesforce, including accurate records of contacts, leads, opportunities, and transactions.
- Collaborate with marketing team to execute targeted cross-selling campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze sales and marketing performance metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to improve sales effectiveness.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes continuous learning and development.
- Participate in exhibiting and presenting at events/conferences hosted by ZERO TO THREE and external organizations.
- Strategic travel to clients throughout the U.S. required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5-7 years of outside sales with demonstrated results achieving sales targets, including revenue, new accounts acquired, and pipeline growth
- Experience selling early childhood professional development products and services and/or professional development programs is highly desirable
- Strong research and analytical skills and the ability to adjust strategies based on client feedback, market trends, and other influences
- In-depth knowledge of a proven sales process and use of sales techniques and tools, including Salesforce
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel as required (estimate up to 50% travel)
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, economics, or equivalent. Experience and/or additional credentials in business management or customer-facing fields, such as early childhood or adult development desired.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This position's salary is estimated to be mid $110,000s to mid $140,000s depending on experience, geo-location, budget, and other comparable and similarly scoped internal positions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity and sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, they may need to remain seated for extended periods, can perform repetitive motions, and reach for objects. An employee is frequently required to hold a writing instrument, communicate verbally, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. They may be required to grasp objects, push, and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis, and expansive reading. May need to lift up to 30 pounds.
