Summary

Director of Partnerships role at Just Right Reader seeking an experienced sales professional to drive partnerships with school districts in Texas and enhance early literacy outcomes. This remote position focuses on building relationships with district leaders and expanding the company's customer base.

Key Responsibilities: Build trusted relationships with district leaders through consultative sales approach, develop sales territory and maintain pipeline by engaging with regional organizations and key decision makers, and meet or exceed sales targets for Classroom Libraries and Take-Home Decodable Packs. Additional responsibilities include utilizing sales tools like HubSpot and occasional travel to conferences and district meetings.
Skills & Tools: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ownership mentality with high degree of organization and attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Deep empathy for educators and passion for early literacy are essential, with demonstrated ability to employ consultative sales approaches.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a principal or district leader who understands school operations and district dynamics. Prior teaching or district leadership experience is strongly preferred, along with a collaborative mindset and ability to share learnings with team members.
Location: Remote from Texas, United States, with occasional travel required to Dallas, TX for meetings and conferences.
Compensation: $90,000 – $150,000/year

About this Opportunity:

Just Right Reader is hiring for an experienced Director of Partnerships who is passionate about literacy and excited to partner with school districts to accelerate reading achievement. This is a full-time remote sales role where you will be responsible for developing your territory, growing pipeline, and bringing on new customers through understanding how Just Right Reader can address their literacy needs. The ideal candidate has a track record of meeting or exceeding quota selling to districts and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Candidates should reside in Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Form trusted relationships with district leaders through understanding their early literacy needs and employing a consultative sales approach
  • Develop your territory and maintain a healthy pipeline through forming relationships with regional organizations and key decision makers, attending local conferences, and understanding regional initiatives, funding sources and/or legislation
  • Meet or exceed sales targets for Classroom Libraries and Take-Home Decodable Packs
  • Effectively utilize sales tools (e.g. Hubspot)
  • Occasional travel for conferences and meetings with school districts required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience as a past principal or district leader who understands the ins and outs of schools and working with districts
  • Ownership mentality with high degree of organization and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced, quickly growing organization
  • Ready to share your learnings and collaborate with others to make the entire team smarter and more effective
  • Deep empathy for educators and passion for early literacy; prior teaching or district leadership experience strongly preferred
