HackerRank is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Manager for their Integrations Team in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead system integrations with third-party tools and ensure scalable solutions that boost customer experience.

Compensation: $200000 - $230000 / Annually

The Integrations Team owns the pipelines that enable data to flow in and out of HackerRank, allowing customers to use HackerRank products from any third-party tool seamlessly. We meet the customers where they are - From Applicant Tracking Systems to communication tools such as Slack and Zoom. About the role:
As an Engineering Manager within the Integrations Team, you will lead the technical vision and execution for our integrations. This role is pivotal in enabling seamless customer experiences by ensuring our products integrate smoothly with various third-party tools, including ATS, HRMS, and HRIS. You will drive the team's roadmap, mentor engineers, and foster a high-performing environment focused on delivering scalable and resilient integration solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Execute the product plans and manage delivery commitments.
- Mentor the engineers in the team and help them deliver to the best of their abilities.
- Set clear career paths for your team members and help every individual pursue their growth path.
- Work very closely with the product team to develop and curate the product roadmap.
- Own and drive the tech roadmap. Manage the day-to-day activities of the team within the Scrum framework.

- You excel at designing scalable platforms and ensuring that APIs and services are reusable, efficient, and maintainable across teams.
- You are passionate about developer experience, creating intuitive, well-documented APIs and self-service tools that streamline development.
- You have a track record of automating workflows reducing manual effort in API management, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning.
- You have worked with SQL and NoSQL databases, designing scalable data models, optimizing queries, and making informed trade-offs based on use cases.
- You collaborate closely with developers & product teams, understanding their challenges and workflows to design solutions that integrate seamlessly.
What you bring:
- 2+ years of engineering management, including hands-on technical management.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
- 8+ years of experience in designing enterprise systems, building highly-available, scalable, fault-tolerant, secure, distributed systems.
- Self driven, initiative taker with good communication skills, ability to hire, lead and mentor technical teams, meet deadlines, manage stakeholder expectations.
- Technical expertise in NodeJS, Ruby, React, Lambda, micro-services, Authentication, Authorization etc.
Current base salary range: 200K - 230K. The exact salary may vary based on skills, experience, location, market ranges, and other compensation offered. The salary range does not include other compensation components, commission (for sales-related roles), bonuses, or benefits for which you may be eligible. Salary may be adjusted based on business needs.
