Summary

SMB Sales Representative at KnowBe4 responsible for selling Security Awareness Training Platform to small and mid-sized businesses with a clear path to mid-market or enterprise sales advancement.

Key Responsibilities: Generate new business opportunities through cold calling and networking, conduct online product demos, build and maintain sales pipeline, identify decision makers, and achieve monthly sales quotas while maintaining accurate CRM records in Salesforce.
Skills & Tools: Proven software sales ability, strong verbal and written communication, Salesforce proficiency, understanding of IT security concepts, and self-directed, stats-driven approach to business development with collaborative teamwork capabilities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-3 years of SaaS/software sales experience to SMB clients; familiarity with IT Security field and CompTIA Security+ certification a plus.
Location: Hybrid - Clearwater, Florida (greater Tampa Bay area)
Compensation: Estimated: $55,000 – $75,000/year based on SMB sales representative role, 1-3 years experience, software/SaaS industry, and Clearwater, Florida location

Job Description

As a SMB Sales Representative, you will benefit from some inbound leads and self-generate new opportunities. You will run online demos of the KnowBe4’s Security Awareness Training Platform and successfully sell our value proposition. Prospective clients will consist of small and mid-sized businesses initially. After demonstrating success in this market, promotion to Mid-Market or Enterprise sales could be available.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell KnowBe4’s range of products and services
  • Identify and close net new customers in the assigned territory
  • Build and maintain pipeline of potential customers by developing and managing relationships with prospects
  • Forecast new business prospects that result in successful client relationships and sales
  • Identify key decision makers while developing and qualifying new business opportunities within the targeted markets through cold calling, networking and high-level prospecting
  • Articulate the value proposition of KnowBe4’s products and help the customer understand how it will improve their business’s security awareness training (and security overall)
  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas and/or targets 
  • Be well versed in KnowBe4’s product offerings and promote the products and services at trade shows as requested
  • Follow up on marketing leads to generate new sales opportunities and pipeline
  • Act strategically in offering or negotiating discounted pricing, in line with established policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records for customer calls, emails, notes, tasks, demos and other relevant information in compliance with the Administration Policy 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus 
  • Proven track record in sales 
  • 1-3 years selling software to Small Medium Enterprise a plus
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the IT Security Field
  • Experience with Salesforce and Gmail
  • Network or Security Plus preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Stats driven business professional
  • Motivated, energetic self-starter
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
