This Role…

As anAI/ML Engineer at ATD, you will report to our Senior Director, Digital Strategy & AI, supporting the broader Digital Strategy team. In this position you will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions that drive innovation and enhance data-driven decision-making across our organization.This role will involve building predictive propensity models, training AI systems, optimizing algorithms, and creating generative AI chatbots leveraging large language models (LLMs). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into business processes and improve customer experiences.

Specifically, the key initiatives and responsibilities of this role include… 

• Designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and AI solutions to meet business needs.

• Building predictive propensity models to optimize data-driven decision-making.

• Training and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) to develop generative AI chatbots and other AI-powered solutions in partnership with technology team.

• Optimizing algorithms for performance and scalability in production environments.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into business processes and customer-facing applications.

• Working with marketing to operationalize output of the propensity and predictive models in their go to market strategy.

• Conducting research and stay updated on the latest AI/ML advancements to propose innovative solutions.

• Developing and maintaining clear documentation for models, algorithms, and systems.

About You…

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

• 3+ years’ experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on developing and deploying machine learning models.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.

• Expertise in machine learning frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI techniques.

• Solid understanding of data science and app development methodologies.

• Ability to design and implement scalable AI systems in a production environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• The Association for Talent Development is a hybrid organization headquartered in Alexandria, VA. This is a hybrid position. In-office time is required.
