Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing, the Creative Director leads the implementation of the marketing and communication strategy for the Law School. This position serves as the creative lead on internal and external communications projects and oversees the creative process on all deliverables.
Essential Functions
- Serves as the creative lead on internal and external communications projects.
- Creates high-quality multimedia content for Law School communication vehicles.
- Actively oversees the creative process from concept to completion, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Develops and leads implementation of Communications Office customer service standards and accountability guidelines.
- Oversees the development of the visual identity for the Law School, ensuring its consistency while fostering compliance with university brand guidelines.
- Evaluates vendors’ performance at job completion and recommends best vendors for new projects.
- Develops, manages, and maintains an in-house photo database.

Management Responsibilities
Guides work of other employees who perform essentially the same work and/or student workers. Organizes, sets priorities, schedules and reviews work, but is generally not responsible for final decisions in hiring, performance management or compensation.
Additional Functions
- Ensures visual excellence across the board, supervises photo, video, and graphic design freelancers, maintains a list of freelancers, and recommends freelancers/vendors for projects.
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in creative communications positions.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop ideas across teams and contextualize multiple ideas in relation to one another.
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite applications, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Proficiency with web content management systems, front-end development, HTML/CSS.
- Ability to handle multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously in an effective, courteous, and timely manner.
- Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Creative design or advertising agency experience.
Minimum Starting Salary: $90,000
Maximum Starting Salary: $105,000
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
