Summary

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to step into the role of Senior Manager on the Account Management Grammarly for Education team. In this capacity, you will take initiative on team priorities, building new systems and structures that support growth and efficiency while leveraging your deep understanding of education customer needs and goals.

As a senior account management sales leader on Grammarly for Education, you will set clear revenue goals, communicate actionable sales strategies to your team, and ensure alignment on account expansion and retention priorities. You will lead your team through complex cross-functional sales challenges, optimize processes to maximize pipeline efficiency, and actively manage the execution of high-impact deals and renewals. Your expertise will be essential in cross-selling into new departments and units, deepening relationships within existing accounts, and consistently delivering on ambitious revenue targets—all while supporting educators and students with impactful AI-driven solutions.

As the Manager, you will:

  • Lead and coach a team of Senior Account Managers in the Education market to drive revenue growth and team development.
  • Develop and implement strategic expansion playbooks and an effective operating cadence.
  • Manage a multi-million dollar expansion pipeline with precision, creating forecasting and reporting with +/- 5% accuracy.
  • Clearly communicate issues and advocate for solutions using data to support decision-making.
  • Foster individual growth through structured 1:1s and development plans to build future talent and leaders at Grammarly.
  • Model value-driven conversations with customers and serve as an escalation point during the sales process..
  • Prioritize high-impact initiatives and align team efforts with company objectives, proactively addressing challenges.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in progressive sales positions and 5+ years of management experience in a leadership role.
  • Has a proven track record of quota achievement and can manage a growth-focused sales pipeline and accurately forecast deliverables.
  • The ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with your direct reports, cross-functional leaders, and customers
  • The ability to analyze data and metrics to inform business decisions and identify opportunities for revenue growth within accounts.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn, give and receive feedback regularly, and adapt to an evolving role and team.
  • A demonstrated interest in leveraging AI technologies to enhance learning experiences within the education sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations. 

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future. The expected “On Target Earnings” (OTE) for this role is outlined below and may be modified in the future.

United States: 

Zone 1: $320,000k – $380,000/year (USD)

Zone 2: $288,000 – $342,000/year (USD)

Commissions are 35% of total sales. The market-based compensation differentials will be applied only to base pay for commission-eligible team members.
