Summary

The Warehouse Operation Logistics Analyst plans and manages distribution, inventory control, and space optimization at the Groveport warehouse for Benchmark Education Company. This role maximizes warehouse efficiency through coordinated inbound planning, product allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain inventory locations, coordinate with procurement and transportation on product placement, track inbound shipments, perform seasonal reorganizations, and execute cycle counts and replenishment reports. Solve inventory discrepancies, manage RF-Smart picking errors, and implement supply chain improvements across the distribution network.
Skills & Tools: Strong experience with supply chain planning, logistics operations, inventory management systems (RF-Smart), and data analysis/reporting. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with ability to work collaboratively across procurement, customer service, and warehouse teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with 3+ years of overall experience in logistics, planning, and warehouse operations. Background in ensuring on-time deliveries at optimal cost with experience leveraging supply chain networks and methodologies.
Location: Groveport, Ohio, United States (Onsite)
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $52,000 – $68,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Job Description

*This position is onsite at our Groveport, Ohio warehouse.

Position Purpose:

The Logistics Analyst will plan and help manage the distribution and location planning to maximize the warehouse space This position will also manage the inventory control, including product locations and layout, inbound planning and product allocations. This person will work closely with Procurement, Customer Service, & Warehouse staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

  • Plan and maintain all inventory locations in the Groveport warehouse. Coordinate with Procurement and transportation coordinator to identify all new product and determine appropriate warehouse locations and layout in the warehouse. Track all inbound product to all warehouse locations.
  • Perform consolidations, reorganizations, for every season specially in preparation for receiving new and update inventory.
  • Perform long-term space planning exercises, evaluate current usage and recommend for better practices.
  • Assist in the guided putaway of all inventory in Groveport.
  • Work with the warehouse management team to execute production orders, picking records, and transactions to move inventory, cycle counting, bin replenishment, etc. 

Inventory Control

  • Generate replenishment report for supplemental classes and Core programs’s
  • Forecast pre-assembly demand and generate work orders, maintain the pre-assembly forecast & production planning model, per monthly consumption.
  • Cycle Count: generate cycle count batch per annual schedule, assign to operators, and track to completion to report to finance department.
  • Solve RF-Smart picking error/inventory problem: wrong stock picking, stock discrepancy, code mismatch, request change, product configuration update, RF-Smart BOM discrepancy, RF-Smart random submitting issue etc.

General

  • Develop and implement supply chain, continuous improvement, and logistics tools/methodologies in order to help the business deliver results in customer service, quality, cost, and inventory management.
  • Document and share best practice methods, processes and ideas across the business's distribution network to drive continuous improvements in all aspects of business operations.
  • Manage staff as required

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ overall experience
  • Experience in planning and reporting
  • Background in logistics functions to insure on-time deliveries at the lowest cost
  • Strong experience leveraging, utilizing and creating a future supply chain network
