Job Description

As an Associate, People, this role will be focused on delivering on initiatives developed as the result of our employee engagement survey. You will join the People Team where you will support our organization in many ways including engagement and messaging to maximize impact of our people strategies. Examples of this work are internal comms drafting, story creation around internal success, working to highlight available tools and resources across established communications methods like newsletters, engagement planning, live and recorded training and more. As a growing professional, you will learn the ability to influence, manage change, and communicate complex information in a simple and concise manner, you will learn to excel when working through complexity, handling multiple initiatives, and collaborating effectively with internal teams and champion partners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic initiatives for People Team leaders for the benefit of our national workforce that represents more than 600 employees operating in over 24 states. 
  • Support a comprehensive project plan and communication strategy that aligns with organizational goals and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Create engaging content for various People Team initiatives across digital channels, live sessions and events, and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate with People Team leaders, communications partners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in communication efforts and branding.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute targeted communications, including executive messages, program updates, success stories, and other relevant content including policy understanding, tech and tool training, wellness and engagement initiatives, and other relevant topics.  

Training Content & Collateral Support

  • Assist in the development of training materials, slide decks, and facilitator guides for both live and asynchronous learning.
  • Support the creation of short training videos, including scripting, editing, and coordinating with subject matter experts.
  • Help convert content into learner-friendly formats using tools like Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides.
  • Support logistics and prep for internal learning sessions, including scheduling, calendar invites, and learner materials.

Learning Resource Coordination

  • Maintain the internal learning resource library by organizing documents, links, and assets within LMS platforms or shared drives.
  • Track feedback and usage data to help iterate on and improve existing resources.
  • Work closely with People Development to manage timelines and deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and people leaders to ensure materials align with business goals and organizational frameworks (e.g., A2E, performance expectations).
  • Support equitable access to learning resources by applying accessibility best practices and inclusive design principles.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in communications
  • BA/BS in Communications, Business, Marketing, or Journalism, or other related fields
  • Proven success in developing and delivering messages and executing effective communication plans.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, execution, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines while delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to excel in a matrix environment, both as an individual contributor and as part of the larger team.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in communications, with a focus on HR-related communications
  • BA/BS in a related field
