Summary

Shine Early Learning is hiring an Early Learning Specialist to enhance classroom quality and support educators in ensuring school readiness for children through coaching, professional development, and data-driven support.

Key Responsibilities: Coach Center Directors and teachers using instructional performance tools, support curriculum implementation and child assessments, deliver professional development sessions, analyze child outcomes and classroom quality data, and ensure timely referrals for children with identified needs.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication skills, expertise in early childhood education curriculum models and child assessment systems, ability to lead professional development and team meetings, data analysis and monitoring capabilities, and knowledge of special education and early intervention services.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with six early childhood courses and preschool teaching experience required; Master's degree preferred. Prior experience supervising or coaching in early childhood education settings required.

Shine Early Learning is seeking a collaborative and experienced Early Learning Specialist to join our education leadership team. In this role, you’ll work directly with Center Directors and teaching staff to strengthen classroom quality, enhance curriculum fidelity, and ensure all children are on a path toward school readiness.

Your Role:

The Early Learning Specialist supports Center Directors and Teachers in implementing Acelero Learning’s early learning system, tools, and instructional practices with fidelity. This role provides coaching, professional development, and data-driven support to elevate instructional quality across classrooms and help every child meet School Readiness Goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coach Center Directors and Teachers using CLASS™, the Teacher Success Rubric, and other instructional performance tools.
  • Support curriculum planning, implementation, and child assessment through regular professional learning communities.
  • Provide guidance to ensure fidelity to curriculum and assessment systems across classrooms.
  • Partner with teaching staff to deliver differentiated instruction and classroom support strategies for children with special needs or behavioral challenges.
  • Ensure timely referrals and services for children with identified needs, working closely with agencies and service providers.
  • Analyze child outcomes and classroom quality data; provide insights and recommendations to inform program development.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality professional development sessions aligned to instructional needs.
  • Oversee the implementation of education services at assigned centers, serving as a lead coach and mentor.
  • Ensure completion of required screenings and assessments, including 45- and 90-day benchmarks and quarterly progress monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Family Services staff to engage families in their child’s learning and school readiness.
  • Provide coverage for Center Directors as needed.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and coaching of teaching staff and substitutes.
  • Participate in education leadership meetings and cross-functional collaboration with other service areas.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with six (6) early childhood courses and preschool teaching experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience supervising or coaching in an early childhood education setting.
  • Expertise in instructional curriculum models and child assessment systems.
  • Reliability in CLASS™ and ECERS-R preferred; must be able to obtain within first year.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead professional development and team meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, monitor, and analyze child and classroom performance data.
  • Knowledge of special education and early intervention services.
  • Prior Head Start experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong organization, time management, and independent work skills.
