Summary

Lead a team of Data Analysts at Stride focused on developing and implementing data reporting systems to improve student performance and experience. This manager will serve as a subject matter expert in academic data analytics while collaborating across academic, technical, and organizational departments.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of data analysts, gather stakeholder feedback for product improvements, analyze large datasets to provide actionable insights, and maintain support for academic reporting tools including trainings and documentation. Support cross-functional partners with data solutions, implement Agile methodologies for ad hoc requests, and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Skills & Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Power BI with strong project management and communication abilities. Experience in data analysis, reporting, team leadership, and subject matter expertise in academic data analytics required.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of data analysis experience or 3 years managing data analysts. Master's degree and experience in K-12 education analytics preferred.

The Data Analytics Manager leads the team focused on developing, implementing and supporting data reporting across the organization to improve student performance and student experience. This role leads a team of Data Analysts in providing consumer support with data products, communicating feedback from stakeholders and conducting ad hoc reporting as necessary. The role must engage with the academic, technical and organizational departments to provide appropriate solutions for various stakeholders. The role will maintain close contact with cross functional partners throughout the organization to report data challenges, provide quality assurance, offer training/support and communicate new data tools and product enhancements.

  • Leads a team of analysts with a focus on academic data support aligned with strategic company goals;
  • Gathers feedback from various stakeholders and communicates findings to technical developers to help drive product improvement.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on all academic data ensuring timely updates in alation and/or clarification to stakeholders.
  • Maintains updated and accurate support for academic reporting tools to include (trainings, website, QRGs, newsletters, etc.)
  • Supports cross-functional partners by analyzing large amounts of data, creating new solutions and providing actionable insights;
  • Implements an Agile methodology that allows the team to be responsive to ad hoc data requests resulting in timely turnarounds and delivery to customer.
  • Analyzes data with standard methods, interprets the results, and provides a summary of analyses with actionable insights; ensures and improves data integrity, accuracy and quality; shares knowledge of analysis techniques and data coding with others;
  • Collects data routinely and independently as requested to monitor and report on implementation of specific initiatives across the organization; Identifies new data sources to enhance analytics;
  • Promotes and supports a culture dedicated to strategic data driven decision making; Provides thought leadership throughout the organization for how to best use data and analysis insights.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 3 - 5 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study AND 
  • Five (5) years of experience with data analysis and reporting OR 
  • Three (3) years of experience managing data analysis, reporting 
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Excellent project management, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, PowerSchool, and Canvas 
  • Integration pathways via ClassLink and/or Clever 
  • Data analysis and structured problem solving

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Awareness of current trends and directions in online schools and K-12 academic, engagement and persistence/retention data specifically

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. 

We anticipate the salary range to be $93,328.50- $209,368.80 . Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
