The Job Details are as follows:

The Senior Market Data Analyst plays a key role within the OCLC Market Analysis and Sales Programs team by managing and analyzing market and customer data to support business decision-making. This role ensures the accuracy and availability of critical data resources, provides insights into organizational performance and library market trends, and supports targeted sales and marketing efforts. The Senior Market Data Analyst also serves as a subject matter expert on library market data and OCLC customer/member information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, collect, and manage the Market Analysis team’s data resources.
  • Establish business processes for identifying and acquiring new data sources.
  • Analyze organizational billing, sales orders, assets, and system usage data.
  • Develop overviews of the library market, including total addressable market (TAM) analyses.
  • Maintain accurate contact data at customer accounts.
  • Create targeted marketing and sales contact lists to support successful campaigns.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on library market data and OCLC customer/member data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, with an emphasis in accounting, business administration, or business data analytics. MBA preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of statistics, finance, sales, marketing, general business, and information systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an analyst or in a market data analysis role, with demonstrated ability to perform the duties described.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are required, including the ability to develop a thorough understanding of business data, the sales process and the customer accounts to accurately interpret the sales and system usage data.
  • Significant experience using and thorough knowledge of software & hardware productivity tools, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Business Objects, Salesforce, NetSuite, and PowerBI preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are required.

Working Conditions: Indoor office environment, no hazardous conditions. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Exposure to computer monitors.
