Summary

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College seeks temporary instructors to deliver workforce training in manufacturing, quality management, lean practices, and business skills to industry clients across a 10-county service area. This flexible, part-time role supports regional economic growth through hands-on instruction in both classroom and online formats.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver effective instruction online and/or in-classroom settings using provided curriculum, prepare supplemental materials, and evaluate student performance. Maintain classroom/lab equipment and supplies per OSHA standards, and manage accurate records including attendance, grades, and required reporting.
Skills & Tools: Strong expertise in manufacturing processes, quality management systems (IATF 16949, APQP, FMEA), lean manufacturing, industrial safety, Microsoft applications, and/or PLC programming. Excellent presentation, curriculum organization, and communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively within an educational environment.
Qualifications: Significant job experience in manufacturing or related fields is the primary requirement; formal degrees and certifications are preferred. Knowledge of QMS, lean, safety standards, or supervisory development is highly valued.
Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky, United States; instruction location varies based on client needs across 10-county service area.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $22/hour – $28/hour based on title, seniority, and location.

Job Summary


Elizabethtown Community & Technical College's Workforce Solutions department is seeking instructors to provide training for business and industry clients throughout our 10-county service area. We also provide open enrollment and community education classes. With the expected growth in this region, we need to increase our instructor pool to sustain our current demands for training. We are looking for individuals that are available to teach during day. This position allows for a flexible schedule.


Job Duties:


Provide effective instruction to students online and/or in the classroom by preparing for each learning experience, providing supplemental materials to enhance textbooks and lessons, and using effective evaluation methods to measure student performance. The training curriculum is provided.


Ensure teaching and working environment (classroom, lab, studio) by maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring overall cleanliness, functionality, and conformance to OSHA standards.


Maintain accurate records (such as attendance, grades, and documentation) and submit any corresponding reports according to departmental or college guidelines.


Qualifications:


While significant job experience is the driving qualification, formal degrees and certifications are preferred.
