Summary

Vice President to establish and lead a new Head Start and Early Head Start delegate site in Delaware, overseeing operations serving over 400 children and managing 150+ staff. This role offers the opportunity to shape a new early childhood education initiative aligned with Acelero Learning's mission to eliminate achievement gaps and improve child and family outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Establish program operations, staffing, and systems from the ground up while leading a growing team of 150+ staff members. Ensure regulatory compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, build stakeholder relationships, and drive performance and innovation across the delegate site.
Skills & Tools: Senior leadership and team management in complex, multi-site organizations; compliance and operational expertise; ability to build and scale programs; strong communication and relationship-building abilities; data-informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in business, education, or related field. Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in a complex organization with preferred experience in Head Start or family-centered programming.
Location: Hybrid in Delaware, United States (Acelero Learning HQ office-based with up to 30% travel required)
Compensation: $135,000 – $153,000/year

Acelero Learning is seeking a dynamic Vice President to spearhead the opening and oversight of a new delegate within our growing Acelero Learning network, located in Delaware. Your Role:

As Vice President of Head Start Operations in Delaware, you will lead a delegate site serving children and families from birth to age five. This includes:

  • Establishing all aspects of program operations, staffing, and systems from the ground up
  • Leading a growing team expected to exceed 150 staff and serve over 400 children
  • Ensuring full regulatory compliance and alignment with Head Start Performance Standards
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with local, state, and regional stakeholders
  • Driving performance, innovation, and impact while creating a culture of excellence
  • Collaborating with cross-functional support teams across the Acelero Learning network

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (ideally in business, education, or related field)
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience in a complex, multi-site organization
  • Experience with Head Start or similar family-centered programming is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building or significantly scaling programs
  • Strong background in compliance, staff leadership, and operational execution
  • Ability to develop and lead high-performing teams

  • Where: Acelero Learning Delaware HQ Office. Travel required up to 30%.
  • How Much: The salary range for this position is $135,000 – $153,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
