Summary

The Admissions Coordinator manages student applications, provides customer service, and supports marketing and operational efforts for an education travel company. Skills & Tools: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a team environment. Foreign language fluency and travel experience are preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Sciences (BA/BS) required, with experience living or studying abroad preferred. Ability to travel seasonally, work extended hours as needed, and provide field support for programs is expected.

Job Description:

The Admissions Coordinator will contribute to various projects, including but not limited to the reviewing of student applications and entering the applications into the database; tracking course statistics and enrollments; following up on delinquent application materials; providing customer service to students and parents over the phone and by email; and assisting in recruiting and outreach to schools, which, at certain times of year, may involve some travel. They will also contribute to the review and posting of student's pre-travel paperwork.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing ad hoc support for the successful delivery of the programs, including but not limited to collaborating with marketing, operations, program management teams to carry out tasks and projects. This may involve traveling to and working on the programs.

The role involves direct communication with internal staff and an ability to make and support business decisions confidently. Also, monitor student experiences throughout programs including assisting students with questions, concerns, and coordinating accommodations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service via and email
  • Follow application through process up to following up on delinquent application material

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) College degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Willingness to take initiative
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and work on various projects simultaneously
  • Experience living/studying abroad and foreign language fluency a plus
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Academic experience and or travel abroad experience preferred
  • Ability to travel seasonally and work extended days/ hours as directed by program needs
  • Capacity to provide field support for applicable programs
