Summary

Join Paper as a Sales Development Representative to drive growth by engaging potential clients and building partnerships with schools. You'll conduct sales calls, qualify opportunities, and facilitate introductions to help Paper expand its educational solutions across districts.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily sales calls and send persuasive business emails to prospects while consistently achieving KPIs for qualified opportunities and pipeline progression. Articulate Paper's value proposition, qualify sales opportunities, overcome objections, and facilitate prospect introductions for Partnership Managers.
Skills & Tools: Requires strong B2B inside sales phone and email communication abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking skills, and problem-solving capabilities. Must demonstrate emotional intelligence, active listening, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: Must have B2B inside sales experience with a track record of successful sales calls and email communications. Requires familiarity with public/private education systems, CRM software proficiency, and a self-starting, team-oriented attitude.

To succeed in this role, you must be both tenacious and emotionally intelligent in your approach to generating new business opportunities. You’ll have insightful and convincing phone conversations and follow up with thoughtful email outreach, to ensure Paper understands and can meet each prospect’s unique goals and needs. Your ultimate goal to catalyze new business growth for Paper by adding new meaningful partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct highly effective sales phone calls, on a daily basis.
  • Send precisely written business emails.
  • Consistently achieve individual and team KPIs of qualified opportunities and pipeline progression.
  • Articulate the Paper value proposition, to assess customer goals, needs, and buying interest.
  • Create a positive first impression with our prospects and customers by providing them with a world-class experience.
  • Qualify sales opportunities, and facilitate prospect introductions for the Partnership Managers.
  • Overcome customer objections to generate quality opportunities for the Partnership Managers.
  • Generate interest and build a partnership story that responds to the problems facing prospective customers.

Qualifications:

  • B2B Inside Sales experience.
  • Experience making sales phone calls.
  • Experience writing sales emails and communications
  • Familiarity with the public and private education system.
  • Familiarity with CRM software.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Public speaking & presentation skills.
  • Track record of success.
  • Teamwork-oriented and comfortable being both a leader and a support member.
  • Strong listening skills and ability to understand unique customer problems.

The annual salary range for this position varies by level:

  • P1 (junior): $47,000-$56,000 USD / $44,000-$52,000 CAD
  • P2 (developing): $50,000-$60,000 USD / $55,000-$65,000 CAD

Both levels are eligible for an additional incentive plan. The level offered will be determined based on experience and performance throughout the interview process. Please note that the final offer amount is also influenced by geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above.
