Job Description
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Starting salary of £26,765 per year
The HR Officer role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team. You'll also offer professional advice on various HR issues to clients, including schools and multi-academy trusts. This position is crucial for helping FusionHR achieve its goals by providing timely and accurate administrative services, as well as handling specific HR administration, advisory, and project work.
As a team member, you're expected to assist in the marketing and development of the FusionHR brand.
What will you do day to day?
- HR Administration and Document Development: Provide effective administrative support to the HR team. This includes drafting, amending, and issuing contracts and change letters. You will also process DBS checks and occupational health referrals, schedule appointments, and update clients. You'll assist with training administration, like producing delegate packs and booking attendees, and maintain client and team databases. A key part of the role is to oversee and check the FusionHR ticketing system to ensure all tickets are actioned.
- Basic HR Advisory and Case Management: Provide professional day-to-day HR advice to managers and support the HR team with consultancy work. This includes offering support and advice on matters such as health and well-being, recruitment, and attendance management. You'll also draft template letters for formal and informal meetings related to employee relations cases.
- Project Work and Marketing: Assist with project work to support business growth. You'll also research, draft, and deliver engaging webinars to educate and inform target audiences. In addition, you'll draft and proof read HR blogs and marketing materials to support the growth strategy.

Experience & Knowledge
- Experience working in a busy office environment.
- Previous HR experience, with a working knowledge of HR management and an understanding of employment law.
- Experience in drafting policies, procedures, and other HR documents.
- Experience with Microsoft packages like Excel, Word, Outlook, and databases.
- Experience providing generalist HR advice to senior leaders and managing employee relations casework is desirable.

Education, Training & Qualifications
- A good standard of education, equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
- GCSE English and Maths (A-C grade).
- A CIPD qualification, or working toward one, is highly desirable.
