Summary

IT Manager leading the Enterprise Integration Services team, responsible for managing and optimizing Mulesoft and Confluent Kafka platforms to ensure scalability, security, and continuous availability across the enterprise.

Skills & Tools: Extensive experience with Mulesoft and Confluent Kafka, strong cloud-based integration platform knowledge, excellent problem-solving and communication abilities, strategic thinking, and proficiency in 24x7 operational environments. Preferred skills include DevOps practices, ITIL frameworks, and relevant certifications.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (advanced degree preferred); 7+ years IT experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing integration services; proven track record leading teams in 24x7 operational environments.

Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $110,000 – $145,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Job Description

IT Manager - Enterprise Integration Services: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Manager to lead our Enterprise Integration Services team. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our middleware and integration platforms, focusing on Mulesoft and Confluent Kafka products. The ideal candidate will have a strong product mindset, technical acumen, and operational experience, ensuring our integration services' development, stability, and continuous availability.

Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of integration specialists, developers, and operations staff.

- Drive a product-centric approach to managing Mulesoft and Confluent Kafka platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the enterprise.

- Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth within the team.

Product Development & Maintenance:

- Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of APIs on the CloudHub platform, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet business requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain integration solutions that align with the organization’s strategic goals.

- Manage and oversee the lifecycle of Mulesoft and Confluent Kafka products on PaaS, including version upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.

Operational Excellence:

- Lead the first responder team responsible for the 24x7 availability and stability of the integration platform and APIs.

- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident management systems to ensure a rapid response to platform or API issues.

- Establish and enforce best practices for integration, including security, performance, and scalability.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and external vendors to understand integration needs and deliver solutions that drive business value.

- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support for integration initiatives.

-Continuous Improvement:

- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities within the integration services, driving efficiency and reducing operational overhead.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in enterprise integration, API management, and related technologies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

- 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least three years in a leadership role managing integration services.

- Extensive experience with Mulesoft and Confluent Kafka, including product management, API development, and platform operations.

- Strong understanding of cloud-based integration platforms, particularly CloudHub.

- Proven track record of leading teams in a 24x7 operational environment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and manage complex technical issues.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**Preferred Skills:**

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

- Certification in Mulesoft or Kafka is a plus.
