Summary

Staff Accountant at Incident IQ, a leading K-12 workflow management SaaS platform, responsible for day-to-day financial operations and supporting the accounting team in a high-growth environment. This hybrid role reports to the Accounting Manager and involves managing expenses, vendor relationships, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities: Post daily expenses and cash transactions in NetSuite, manage vendor onboarding including W-9 collection, review Brex corporate credit card transactions for compliance, maintain audit documentation, and actively participate in month-end close processes.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite or Brex; strong organizational skills for handling high-volume transactions with accuracy, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a proactive growth mindset.
Qualifications: 3-5+ years of Staff Accountant or similar accounting experience required, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and solid understanding of GAAP and core business processes (AR/AP).
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site per week) at Incident IQ HQ in Atlanta, Georgia

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our close-knit finance team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will be a key player in our day-to-day financial operations. This is a hybrid role based out of our vibrant Atlanta and Halcyon office, requiring 2-3 days on-site per week. This is an incredible opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to gain deep experience in a high-growth SaaS environment, working alongside a talented team including two Senior Accountants, a Controller, and our CFO.

Core Responsibilities

  • Financial Accuracy: Own the daily posting of expenses and cash transactions within NetSuite, ensuring our financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Vendor Management: Lead the vendor onboarding process, including W-9 collection and system setup.
  • Expense Compliance: Review Brex corporate credit card transactions to ensure alignment with company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Audit Readiness: Maintain supporting documentation for expenses within Brex and NetSuite.
  • Month-End Close: Actively participate in the month-end close process, collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and ensure reporting integrity.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Support the Accounting Manager on special projects that contribute to the department’s goals.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar capacity.
  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite or Brex is a significant plus.
  • Detail Obsessed: An organized approach to handling high-volume transactions with 100% accuracy.
  • Strong Communicator: Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Growth Mindset: A proactive learner who solicits feedback and looks for ways to improve processes.
  • Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and core business processes (AR/AP).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
