Summary

Inside Sales Specialist at BirdBrain Technologies responsible for generating qualifying inbound and outbound sales opportunities to drive new business revenue. This role combines prospecting, customer relationship management, and product knowledge to support the company's educational technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct high-volume outbound phone calling and email follow-ups to develop new prospects and identify sales opportunities. Maintain CRM records, respond to customer inquiries about products and pricing, and establish long-term customer relationships through post-sale contact and problem resolution.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), CRM systems, and phone-based sales techniques. Strong communication, customer service, and database management abilities with ability to handle high call volumes and maintain accurate recordkeeping.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; proficiency with CRM applications and 10-key pad preferred. Prior experience in sales, telephone sales, or CRM systems is desired but not required.
Location: Remote, USA Only (fully remote home office position with occasional travel to trade shows and industry events)
Compensation: Estimated: $32,000 – $42,000/year based on entry-level inside sales specialist role, remote location in Midwest region, and education requirements

The Opportunity

  • The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for generating qualifying inbound new business opportunities and targeting accounts utilizing a variety of tactics to drive qualified opportunities for sales. This position is also responsible for leveraging internal technology to research accounts and contacts, solicits product orders over the phone with customers and following up on qualifying leads from marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to identify opportunities for sales orders and meeting customer needs
  • Conducts a high volume of outbound phone calling on a daily basis
  • Maintains an ongoing awareness of various products, features, compatibility, pricing, supporting materials, packages/components, and varying discounts/promotions. 
  • Timely response and follow up to requests for information, leads generated through conferences and inbound calls, and qualifies each sales prospect
  • Responds to customer inquiries via phone and email concerning product features and benefits, price, how to purchase, how to exchange, how to get technical support, and more
  • Maintains post-sale contact with clients to facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship
  • Establishes strong customer relationships including problem resolution with customers about any account problems, concerns, needs, and more and communicates those issues with the company
  • Performs accurate and timely database and recordkeeping activities on the company CRM system

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED)
  • Proficient with standard Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must maintain a thorough understanding of the CRM system, credit card processing and production software

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a sales position
  • Experience performing telephone sales
  • Experience with CRM applications
  • 10-key pad proficiency

Work Location

  • BirdBrain Technologies, Inc. is headquartered in Eau Claire, WI. This is a fully remote position, working from a home office. 

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel required for trade shows, industry events, and collaboration with educational partners and external engineering teams.
