Summary

Part-time Nursing Accreditation Consultant providing consultation services to nursing education programs on program evaluation and accreditation processes across the United States. The role supports administrators and educators in achieving accreditation goals through remote work with occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities: Consult with administrators and educators on program evaluation and accreditation processes, develop systematic evaluation plans, and conduct self-study reviews and mock-site visits for nursing programs. Provide faculty and program director development related to program evaluation and the accreditation process.
Skills & Tools: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to present to diverse audiences in various formats, analyze information effectively, and adapt quickly to change in ambiguous environments.
Qualifications: Doctoral degree in nursing or education is preferred (Master's considered with sufficient experience), current registered nurse license, and minimum 5 years of nursing education experience as an educator. Accreditation site visit experience as a team chair (CCNE, NLN-CNEA, or ACEN) is required.
Location: Hybrid in Leawood, Kansas, United States; remote work throughout the continental United States with travel to schools across the country.
Compensation: $40 – $70/hourly

Business Unit Summary

The Client Success Team is responsible for supporting clients purchasing nursing solutions with product training, implementation, integration, consulting and test preparation delivery to achieve client centric outcomes. The team leads the success planning, onboarding, training, SaaS implementation, ongoing proactive and reactive client support, and the delivery of nursing products and services for Ascend’s nursing brands: ATI, APEA and NursingCE. The CS team is accountable for delivering high quality services and subsequently capturing and tracking key business performance indicators to client success including, client satisfaction, product adoption and usage, NCLEX pass rate, and institutional and student retention

Position Overview

The part-time Nursing Education Consultant provides assigned consultation services on an as needed basis to administrators and educators in all types of programs, along with working on assigned special projects.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

This position offers the flexibility of remote work within the continental United States with travel to schools across the country.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Providing faculty and program director development related to program evaluation and development and/or revision of systematic evaluation plan
  • Providing faculty and program director development related to the accreditation process
  • Self-study review and mock-site visits

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Doctoral degree in nursing or education is heavily preferred; Master’s considered in relations to level of experience.
  • Current registered nurse license
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing education as an educator in a practical, associate, diploma, or baccalaureate program
  • Accreditation site visit experience as team chair (CCNE, NLN-CNEA or ACEN) 
  • Proficiency in basic computer technologies, specifically Microsoft Office, Microsoft outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Current proficiency presenting to small and large group audiences either in person, via conference call and/or in web enabled environments using PowerPoint and other technologies
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with faculty in all types of programs
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and deliver results in ambiguous environments
