Summary

Focus School Software seeks a Software Trainer to provide technical training on their educational management software to educators through in-person and virtual sessions. The role is critical for helping districts adopt and maximize the company's innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver end-user training on software products both in-person and virtually, while independently creating and updating training materials. Lead diverse training sessions of varying sizes, sometimes unplanned, and work collaboratively with colleagues to meet tight deadlines.
Skills & Tools: Excellent oral and written communication with strong presentation abilities, proficiency with both Office and Mac computers, and natural leadership with strong people skills. Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to facilitate learning in both large and small group settings.
Qualifications: 4-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education or a technology-related industry. Background in an educational setting is strongly preferred.

Focus is looking to expand our team by adding a Software Trainer. The Software Trainer will be responsible for providing end users with technical training of our software products both in person and virtually.  As a Software Trainer, you will be expected to work independently, as well as alongside your colleagues, and must be able to work well under pressure to handle a variety of tasks.

Expected Education and Experience

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree or a year of experience in a similar position within education or a technology-related industry
  • Background in an educational setting is strongly preferred
  • Focus moves fast.You will be expected to hit the ground running, and perform self-start training.

  • Excellent “people skills,” a natural leader with the ability to motivate, facilitate learning, and keep a group’s interest and confidence high.
  • Comfortable facilitating learning during small group activities.
