Compensation: $70000 - $80000 / Annually

We are seeking a dynamic, solutions-focused Director, Monitoring & Compliance to join our Senior Leadership Team in Delaware. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that all centers meet — and exceed — Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing requirements, and organizational policies. You’ll collaborate across all service areas, build systems for excellence, and lead with both accountability and care.
What You'll Do:
- Provide monitoring oversight to ensure all centers are fully compliant with regulations, licensing, and internal policies.
- Partner with the Director of Operations to oversee health and safety monitoring and licensing compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with state licensing specialists to support program needs.
- Proactively identify and address risks such as attendance, enrollment, and licensing challenges, developing action plans in collaboration with leadership.
- Receive and resolve accident and incident reports.
- Lead the implementation of the Self-Assessment System for Continuous Improvement and Evaluation (SASCIE) and ensure follow-through on quality improvement plans.
- Facilitate professional development workshops to strengthen compliance and quality standards.
- Provide regular updates to the Executive Director on areas of non-compliance, health and safety concerns, and corrective action plans.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree required; early childhood education or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, program monitoring, or operational oversight (Head Start experience a plus).
- Strong communication skills — able to engage effectively with individuals and groups of all sizes.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and comfort with technology-based systems.
- Commitment to helping children and families thrive, with a passion for equity and quality in education.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state; must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

This position earns up to 113,000.00 Annually
