Skills & Tools: Proven expertise with PHP, modern frameworks (Symfony, Slim, Laravel), and MySQL, with proficiency in full web development lifecycle and API design (GraphQL/REST). Strong problem-solving abilities, Git proficiency, excellent English communication, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with knowledge of SOLID principles and design patterns.
Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in the full web development lifecycle including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, and deployment. Strong track record addressing complex technical challenges with curiosity, analytical thinking, and sense of ownership.
Location: Berlin, Germany (with remote work options available in Cologne, Sardinia, and Cape Town offices)

Join our agile team on a mission to enable institutions (like educational clinics, medical schools) to use AMBOSS resources efficiently and effectively when teaching their learners (e.g. residents and students).YOU WILL: - Actively contributing to engineering projects within our new B2B product “Educator Tool”, from conception to completion. - Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications. - Address Ad-Hoc requests from customer support channels. - Share your knowledge within the AMBOSS community, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and growth. YOU BRING: - Proven expertise with PHP and its modern frameworks (such as Symfony, Slim, Laravel) and MySQL. - Experience in the full web development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution discovery, system design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Proficient in building and integrating APIs ( GraphQL and/or RESTful) and adept at robust database design and management. - Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, best practices, and design patterns, with recent or substantial hands-on application, is a plus. - Proficient in using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and code review processes. - Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of addressing complex technical challenges effectively. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly and effectively to various stakeholders. - Curiosity, being interested in optimizing processes, learning domain’s ins and outs. - Taking initiatives, having analytical mindset, being proactive and solution-oriented. - Having a strong sense of ownership.
