Summary

Senior Copy Editor with bilingual English-Spanish expertise managing editorial workflows and enhancing K–8 English and Spanish Language Arts curriculum at Amplify Education. This contract role ensures high-quality educational materials through advanced editing, proofreading, and cross-team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities: Edit, proofread, and review ELA and SLA curricula at an advanced level; manage small projects, answer style queries, and facilitate communication between copyeditors, writers, language specialists, and producers. Track errata items, ensure content accuracy and alignment between editions, and document style decisions for the copy editing team.

Skills & Tools: 5+ years of copy editing experience in both English and Spanish with native-level written and verbal Spanish command; advanced understanding of English grammar, punctuation, and technical writing conventions. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate harmoniously with editors, writers, designers, and language specialists.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience; 5+ years of copy editing experience in both English and Spanish with a track record of producing clean documents on time. Advanced degree and experience in K–8 education preferred.

Location: Fully remote, United States

Compensation: $45 – $50/hourly
