Looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to optimize AWS infrastructure, manage Linux servers, and support CI/CD pipelines for a growing edtech company.

Responsibilities: Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, oversee Linux server administration, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement security best practices, and support application performance.

Skills: Expertise in AWS and AWS CDK, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Linux server administration, networking, and security.

Qualifications: 5+ years of DevOps or systems engineering experience, strong AWS skills, plus database knowledge preferred; experience in SaaS or edtech is a plus.

Location: Remote-friendly work environment

Compensation: $110000 - $150000 / Annually

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS-based infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee Linux server administration, including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable deployments.
• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure using AWS CDK.
• Implement security best practices, monitoring, and incident response processes.
• Partner with the development team to support application performance and uptime.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure-related issues.

What You’ll Have

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or systems engineering experience.
• Strong AWS expertise, including significant experience with AWS CDK
• Strong container experience (Docker and ECS).
• Proven Linux server administration skills (Ubuntu or similar distributions).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD or similar).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system monitoring.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a small, fast-moving company.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in a SaaS or edtech environment.
• Database administration skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (FERPA, SOC2, GDPR).
