What You’ll Do

This project involves using your professional experience as a Conservation Scientists, including Soil and Plant Scientists to design job-related questions and review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to real-world table games operations.

No prior AI or technical experience is required.

Qualifications

You have at least 4 years of professional experience in one or more of the following types of work.

  • The examples below reflect the types of real-world responsibilities that you might have had in your role that will give you the context needed to evaluate and train high-quality AI models
  • Utilize agronomy, soil science, and forestry principles to plan and implement conservation practices like crop rotation and reforestation, ensuring soil and water conservation.
  • Advise land users on conservation solutions, monitor project compliance, and analyze environmental data to develop land use recommendations.
  • Collaborate with government agencies to enhance resource protection.
  • Conduct research and experiments to develop improved soil and plant management practices, focusing on soil conservation, crop yield, and environmental sustainability.
  • Provide recommendations to farmers and landowners on land use and plant growth, and communicate findings through teaching or public outreach.
  • Investigate soil and water quality issues to enhance agricultural productivity.
  • You’re able to participate in asynchronous work in partnership with leading AI labs.

Work Model and Project Details

  • Status: Independent contractor (not a full-time employee role)
  • Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer
  • Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement. Many contributors work approximately 5–20 hours per week when assigned to an active project
  • Duration: The Handshake AI program runs year-round, with projects opening periodically across different areas of expertise. Placement depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available

Work authorization information

F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects on Handshake AI. Work with your Designated School Official to determine your eligibility. If your school requires a CPT course, Handshake AI may not meet your school’s requirements. STEM OPT is not supported.
