Summary

Senior Communications Representative at Western Governors University responsible for enhancing the university's reputation through media relations, content creation, and strategic communications initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Manage media relations, create diverse content (articles, press releases, social media), plan and coordinate events, and implement social media strategies. Support promotional campaigns, secure speaking engagements for WGU leaders, and develop thought leadership initiatives to build awareness among educators, employers, and prospective students.

Skills & Tools: Outstanding writing and communication abilities with proficiency in creating content for multiple audiences, strong social media skills (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), and ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Demonstrated capacity for creative thinking, research, interviewing, editing, and positive influence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as communications, public relations, or marketing) and 3-5 years of experience in public relations or a related communications role. Understanding of media relationships and ability to work effectively with all organizational levels required.

Compensation: $66,300 – $99,500/year
