Summary

Summary of Position:

As the Director of Performance Marketing, you will lead and optimize our digital acquisition and conversion strategy across SEM, social media advertising, affiliates, and other emerging paid channels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to accelerate growth, improve ROI, and enhance customer acquisition and conversion. This role requires a highly analytical, creative, and forward-thinking individual with a proven track record of scaling digital marketing initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.     

Major Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • With support and guidance from the VP of Ecommerce and Performance Marketing, develop and execute the performance marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives and growth targets.
  • Oversee and optimize SEM, social media advertising, affiliate marketing, and emerging paid channels to drive high-quality traffic and customer acquisition.
  • Identify opportunities to expand into new channels and formats that align with the company’s growth objectives.

Optimize Campaign Performance and ROI:

  • Use data-driven insights to create, implement, and continuously refine campaigns, focusing on key metrics such as CPA, LTV, and conversion rates.
  • Partner with analytics and finance teams to develop accurate forecasting, reporting, and budget management.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Utilize web analytics tools to track, measure, and report on campaign effectiveness, and KPIs.
  • Present findings to senior leadership and recommend adjustments based on data-driven insights.

Drive Innovation in Paid Channels:

  • Stay on the pulse of digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies; proactively test and implement new channels and ad formats.
  • Leverage A/B testing and multivariate testing methodologies to improve performance and maximize budget effectiveness.

Team Leadership & Development: 

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of performance marketing professionals.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure alignment of ecommerce and marketing initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and agencies to support ecommerce and performance marketing strategies.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with product, engagement, ecommerce, sales, and partnerships teams to support initiatives that drive traffic and revenue.
  • Collaborate with other business units to ensure consumer website serves all business objectives effectively

Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced degree in related field preferred
  • At least five years of professional experience in performance marketing for B2C organizations, preferably in the test prep, admissions, or tutoring space
  • Strong understanding of analytics , A/B testing strategies, and campaign optimization
  • Ability to specify technical requirements to technical/development teams
  • Experience managing successful teams and motivating employees to succeed.
  • Enthusiastic, confident, and optimistic demeanor with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A driven self-starter with a desire to meet and exceed goals. 
  • Ability to manage your own time and work remotely while effectively managing a geographically dispersed team.

Salary: $100,800 - $133,600 per year, based on a 40 hour work week.
