Job Summary Responsible for providing training and assistance to the line and training organizations on Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation activities. Assesses effectiveness of training through self- assessment, feedback and evaluation and seeks out innovative solutions too effectively train personnel. Provides the client groups with assistance to ensure accreditation is maintained. Communicates with respective client group concerning requests for training.
Key Accountabilities
- Analyzes, Designs, Develops, Implements, and Evaluates all respective client training needs/materials and ensures proper instructor training will produce client group performance improvement.
- Conducts and documents training in accordance with plant procedures, work instructions, and best industry practices
- Coordinates and assists the line and training organizations with training self-assessments, including the development of the Accreditation Self-Evaluation Report submitted biennially to INPO
- Assist in maintaining accreditation for all training programs accredited by INPO, National Academy of Nuclear Training.
- Evaluates instructor and trainee progress, course effectiveness and performance issues to produce improved training.
- Coach and mentors all instructors for consistency and compliance of the training requirements
- Evaluations and qualifies all instructors through the accreditation program process
- Participates and supports the client group with analysis and evaluation activities.
- Facilitates the site-wide Leadership Development Program.
- Identifies and evaluates human performance issues in the Training Department and assist the client groups with implementing and modeling proper human performance.
- Reviews control of work processes and procedures for quality and efficiency and implement revisions as necessary.
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and ten years of experience as an instructor or in instructional technology; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field with six years of experience as an instructor or in instructional technology; OR
- Master’s degree in Education or related field with four years of experience as an instructor or in instructional technology
- Previous experience working in a nuclear power plant
- Participates, if necessary, as an ERO member and responds to call-ins.
- Must be able to pass all phases of In-Processing including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen.
- Understands the INPO academy manuals that relate to training programs.
- Ability to effectively prepare and conduct presentations in a classroom environment.
- Communicates well with all levels of management.
- Knowledge of the SAT systematic approach to training process.
- Must meet regulatory requirements per Fermi Procedures.
