Summary

Sales Development Representative at Tutor.com responsible for generating new sales opportunities for test preparation, academic, and admissions programs through outbound prospecting. Acts as the first line of communication with prospects to set up Sales Directors for success.

Key Responsibilities: Target prospects through outbound calls (50+ daily) and emails to generate sales opportunities, create targeted territory plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals, and manage the entire sales process from lead generation through closing.
Skills & Tools: Strong phone presence and verbal communication skills, business writing ability, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce, multi-tasking and time management capabilities, and demonstrated customer service and sales expertise.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, with 1-2 years of inside sales experience preferred; recent college graduates considered if other qualifications are met. Must demonstrate motivation and drive to succeed in sales.
Location: United States (remote/work from home eligible in most states; restricted in Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Mississippi, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Wyoming)
Compensation: $55,000 – $60,000/year

Summary of Position: We are looking for exceptional candidates to be a part of the sales team. Tutor.com Sales Development Representative will be part of a collaborative team committed to driving interest Tutor.com test preparation, academic, and admissions programs throughout a specified territory. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, creating new relationships, and setting up Sales Directors for success. The SDR should be a quick learner with strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our products and services in a compelling way.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Target prospects through outbound calls and emails to generate new sales opportunities for Test Preparation products.
  • Create a targeted territory plan, crafted to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Call and email prospective districts, website leads, webinar campaign leads, and trade show prospects to conduct discovery, verification of needs and availability of funding.
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing.

Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong phone presence and experience making (50+) calls per day.
  • One to two years of inside sales experience. Recent college graduates would be considered if all other qualifications are met.
  • Demonstrated customer service and sales skills preferred.
  • Strong verbal and business writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Salesforce is preferred.
  • Motivation and drive to succeed in sales.

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 per year, based on a 40 hour work week.
