Summary

Join Acelero Learning Delaware as a Bilingual Family Advocate to build trusting relationships with families and connect them with vital community resources to support children's educational, health, and well-being goals. This role champions equality and creates positive outcomes for early childhood education programs across the country.

Key Responsibilities: Partner with families to set goals, conduct family assessments, and develop partnership agreements while connecting them with healthcare, employment, housing, and social services. Facilitate parent meetings and workshops, support kindergarten transitions, and collaborate with teachers and community partners to provide holistic support.
Skills & Tools: Bilingual fluency in Spanish, strong organizational abilities, excellent listening skills, and compassion for diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Resourcefulness, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications: Associate's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, or related field (Bachelor's preferred) with experience in family advocacy, case management, or community outreach preferred. Valid driver's license or reliable transportation and passing background check and physical exam required.

What You’ll Do

As a Family Advocate, you will:

  • Partner with families to set and achieve goals that support their child’s education, health, and well-being.
  • Connect families with community resources such as healthcare, employment, housing, and social services.
  • Conduct family assessments, develop family partnership agreements, and track progress toward goals.
  • Support families in navigating transitions, including preparing children for kindergarten.
  • Facilitate parent meetings, workshops, and events that strengthen family engagement.
  • Advocate for families and their needs, ensuring their voices are included in program planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with teachers, center staff, and community partners to provide holistic support for children and families.
