Summary

Lead digital projects as a Project Manager/ScrumMaster using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies at Western Psychological Services. Foster high-performance teams to deliver innovative digital solutions on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities: Manage cross-functional digital projects using Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall approaches, facilitate Agile ceremonies, establish project goals and budgets, and mentor team members on Agile best practices. Monitor project metrics, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure user-centric outcomes through Design Thinking and MVP delivery techniques.
Skills & Tools: Expert proficiency in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies with hands-on experience leading teams and facilitating ceremonies. Proficient in tools like Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Miro, plus strong communication, stakeholder management, and digital delivery lifecycle knowledge.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of project management experience delivering digital projects in Agile and Waterfall environments. PMP and/or Agile certifications (CSM, PMP) strongly preferred; bilingual Spanish capability is a plus.
Location: Hybrid in Torrance, California, United States (remote with occasional in-office meetings)
Compensation: $97,000 – $110,000/year

Job Description: Project Manager (Waterfall) / ScrumMaster (Agile Digital Expertise Focus) Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager (Waterfall) / ScrumMaster (Agile Digital Expertise Focus), preferably bilingual (Spanish) with proven expertise in Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies. The ideal candidate will strongly focus on Agile digital delivery, enabling high-performance teams to develop innovative digital products and solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively bridge traditional and Agile project delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. This role is a hybrid of Waterfall and Agile.

 Key Responsibilities

 · Lead cross-functional teams in the end-to-end management of digital projects using Agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban) and, where appropriate, traditional Waterfall approaches.

·    Champion Agile best practices to foster a culture of iterative delivery, customer-

centricity, and continuous improvement across teams.

· Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, UX/UI Designers, Developers, and QA Engineers to deliver high-impact digital solutions.

· Establish project goals, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource plans that align with strategic business objectives.

· Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring team alignment and project momentum.

· Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and issues, identifying mitigation strategies to minimize project disruption.

· Monitor project metrics, generate actionable insights, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders at all organizational levels.

· Mentor and coach team members on Agile methodologies, tools, and mindset shifts needed for high-performing digital teams.

 · Adapt delivery approaches based on project complexity, team composition, and organizational maturity, ensuring flexibility between Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall practices.

·    Ensure user-centric project outcomes, leveraging Agile digital techniques such as Design Thinking, MVP (Minimum Viable Product) delivery, and customer feedback loops. 

Key Qualifications

 · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Engineering, or a related field; PMP and/or Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PMP) strongly preferred. 5+ years of project management experience with a track record of delivering digital projects in Agile and Waterfall environments.

· Strong Agile expertise, with hands-on experience leading Scrum teams, facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

· Proficient in Agile/Waterfall tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Miro.

· Solid understanding of digital delivery lifecycles, including mobile app development, responsive web design, e-commerce platforms, and SaaS solutions.

· Experience with Scaled Agile Frameworks and managing cross-team dependencies in a multi-squad setup.

· Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.

· Strong skills in stakeholder management, team leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

·Familiarity with Agile metrics and KPIs such as Velocity, Burndown Charts, Cumulative

Flow Diagrams, and team health assessments.
