Indiana State University's Office of Information Technology has an immediate opening for a Desktop and Configuration Management Engineer with in-depth knowledge and experience designing, implementing, and managing desktop environments and configuration management systems within an enterprise leveraging the Microsoft product stack, including Intune for Mobile Device Management (MDM). This exciting position works with a team of dedicated, customer focused professionals to provide reliable, high performing, and secure systems for the University. In addition to working with contemporary technology infrastructure systems in a fast-paced environment, this position offers a great benefits package including employer retirement contribution, dependent tuition assistance and access to the university health/recreation center.
The person in this position designs and develops desktop configuration environments in the ISU Technical Support unit, provides project leadership and technical assistance in the implementation of complex information systems and daily maintenance of such systems.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (4 years) and 2 years of experience or 2 years of completed post-secondary education and 5 years of demonstratable experience in desktop and configuration management, including experience with Microsoft product stack and Intune for MDM. Knowledge of server administration, including experience with Windows Server, virtualization technologies, and network services. Proven ability to manage complex IT projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technology solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
