Summary
Software Engineer II at Nelnet Business Services developing K-12 education solutions using modern technologies in an Agile environment. This role involves designing and building product features while mentoring junior engineers and advancing technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop new product features, write clean and testable code, review pull requests, and mentor junior engineers on best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters, and stay current with industry trends.
Skills & Tools: Proficient in C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, SQL Server, RESTful APIs, Entity Framework, and testing techniques (unit, functional, integration, e2e). Familiar with Kubernetes, Azure Cloud Services, microservices architecture, SOLID principles, and AI-assisted development tools.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience with 3+ years of hands-on enterprise web application development. Strong problem-solving and communication skills with understanding of object-oriented design and microservices architecture.
Location: Remote from Nebraska, United States of America
Compensation: $95,000 – $105,000/year
