Production Artist I creates engaging graphics and manages production assets for Educational Insights' innovative toy and game designs. This role supports the design team in bringing educational products to life through production-ready artwork and asset management.

Key Responsibilities: Collaborates with design teams to produce graphics, GIFs, and videos for social media while maintaining electronic files and creating physical mockups. Ensures quality control on final design assets, manages file organization, and provides daily support to designers with layout adjustments and production troubleshooting.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills in managing production assets. Ability to follow projects from concept to completion and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field is preferred. 0-3 years of relevant production or design experience required.

What you’ll do day to day:

  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance performance and deliverables.
  • Help produce engaging graphics, gifs, and simple videos for social media.
  • Populate, file, and maintain electronic files including layouts, concepts, and artwork.
  • Create physical mockups of packaging.
  • Assist in creating concepts, comps, layouts, and final art.
  • Follow projects from concept to completion with support from senior team members.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Key Performance Objectives:

  • Prepare Production-Ready Files (First 60 Days)
  • Within your first 60 days, ensure all design files are accurately prepped for print or digital output, following established technical specifications. You will demonstrate proficiency in file formatting and layout adjustments, ensuring zero errors before submission to vendors or internal teams.
  • Ensure Quality Control on Final Assets (Ongoing)
  • On an ongoing basis, manage the quality control of final design files, making necessary tweaks to ensure high fidelity and accuracy. Work closely with designers and production teams to check for consistent color matching, image resolution, and print alignment, delivering error-free files for every project.
  • File Organization and Asset Management (Weekly Updates)
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of production assets and files, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date. Perform weekly reviews and updates of file versions, ensuring smooth handoffs and quick access for team members or stakeholders when needed.
  • Support Design Team (Daily Contributions)
  • Act as a key support for the design team, ensuring production assets are ready for handoff. On a daily basis, you’ll provide quick layout adjustments, update files as needed, and troubleshoot production issues, making sure that every project is delivered on time with minimal revisions.
  • Collaborate on Process Improvements (Quarterly)
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas where the production pipeline can be optimized. Every quarter, bring ideas to streamline file management, reduce production times, and improve overall workflow efficiency, presenting actionable solutions to the team.

Requirements/Ideal Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years of production or design experience in a professional environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), with a solid understanding 
  •  of production processes for both print and digital media.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on precision and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of prepress and print production, including color correction, file preparation, 
  •  and print specs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with experience in managing and versioning production assets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working alongside designers and production teams.
  • A strong interest in learning about emerging technologies and improving production workflows.
