Summary

Skills & Tools: Proficiency with NetSuite Cloud ERP, Microsoft Excel, and procurement databases with strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Leadership expertise in procurement operations with capability to prioritize and perform effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field with 5+ years of experience in operations, procurement, or supply chain. Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience required.

Position Summary

The Supervisor, Purchasing Solutions leads a team of Purchasing Coordinators to ensure efficient, accurate, and strategic procurement operations. This role is responsible for overseeing procurement support functions, including estimated ship date (ESD) management, item and vendor record maintenance, and database accuracy for open orders. The Supervisor drives process improvements, fosters vendor relationships, and collaborates cross-functionally to support organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with strong systems expertise and a passion for team development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Purchasing Coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor team performance, distribute workloads effectively, and provide coaching to enhance accuracy and productivity.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for resolving complex team-related issues.
  • Manage and optimize the Estimated Ship Date (ESD) tracking and communication process to ensure timely updates and transparency.
  • Oversee item setup, ensuring compliance with internal standards and accurate database maintenance.
  • Maintain and update vendor confirmations, open orders, and confirmed orders, proactively addressing discrepancies.
  • Manage purchase price accuracy and maintenance, supporting the Buyer team.
  • Ensure accuracy of procurement data, including backorder tracking, pricing, and availability, within the NetSuite Cloud ERP system.
  • Analyze ERP reports to inform inventory and purchasing strategies.
  • Support auditing and reporting to maintain data quality and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships, verifying shipment details, tracking updates, and negotiating support terms.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, IT, and Buying teams to streamline processes and enhance system functionality.
  • Communicate product backorder status to the Sales Admin Department, promoting transparency.
  • Lead opportunity projects to enhance procurement efficiency and strategy.
  • Organize and support Vendor Operations with partner incentive programs.
  • Drive vendor product authorization initiatives to ensure compliance and foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Organize and update price lists in the system, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the team.
  • Handle other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic environment.

Education & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Business Administration, Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite Cloud ERP, Microsoft Excel, and procurement databases.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with order and item lifecycle tracking in enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of vendor management best practices.
  • Familiarity with education, IT/AV, or distribution industries is a plus.

Pay Range: $67,000-75,000/year
